Your birth debrief appointment gives you the space to: ▫️Share your birth story and explore your emotions surrounding it ▫️Address any questions or uncertainties about your birth experience ▫️Process and work through any trauma related to your birth ▫️Discuss options for future births ▫️Rebuild and restore your confidence in the birth process 〰️ What is a birth debrief? A birth debrief is a safe space for you to reflect on your birth experience. It’s a time to explore what happened, why certain choices were made, and to unpack the emotions you’re experiencing about your birth and postpartum period. Whatever your feelings, they are valid, and your story deserves to be heard. Birth rarely unfolds exactly as expected. While it can surpass your hopes, it can also bring unexpected challenges, questions, or even trauma. These experiences, both physical and emotional, can leave a lasting impact. A birth debrief provides an opportunity to gain clarity about your experience, process unresolved emotions, and work through any lingering trauma. It can help you feel more prepared and empowered for any future births while restoring confidence in yourself and your journey. Midwife Allie has more than 10 years of experience in the birth space and will work with you to unpack and understand the events that occurred and how you can move forward. 〰️ What to expect: ▫️90 minutes to unpack typically one previous birth story ▫️One on one conversation with Midwife Allie (support people welcome) ▫️Online or In-person within 25km Brisbane CBD ▫️Hospital notes welcome but not necessary (you will have to arrange this beforehand) 〰️ Fee: Medicare rebates may apply if you are pregnant or had a baby within 6 weeks of your appointment.
